Education
In 1985 he graduated from the Faculty of Culture and Arts of the Latvian Conservatoire.
In 2008 he received a Master's degree in theater directing from the Latvian Academy of Culture.

Jobs
In the 1980s he worked in the folk dance ensemble "Gundega", initially as a reporter and later as artistic director.
In 1985 he became the head of Krimulda parish dance group "Dzirnas"
In 1998 - the head of dance school "Dzirnas", in 2002 he founded a school studio in Riga.
