Great Expectations is the story of Pip, an orphan boy, who is being brought up by his sister and her husband Joe, the village blacksmith. Pip is training to be Joe's apprentice. One day he meets a convict on a marsh and is frightened into stealing food for him. Later on he is taken to Satis house, where lives the rich Miss Havisham and her ward Estella.
