The Near Death Experience (NDE) is a very debatable topic. There are a lot of people who simply do not believe in an afterlife let alone a NDE, and everything else that comes along with it. But on the other hand, there are several people who believe in the NDE and an after life and that the body dies but the soul survives and lives on in another shape or form.
