Television Sitcoms and Their Influence on Animation

"The Simpsons" even spoof "The Flintstones" in their opening sequence, paying tribute to Hanna-Barbera for paving the way in the field of animation. Televisions lines of descent are apparent, without the Kramden's there would have been no Flintstone's and without the previously taboo behavior of the Bunker's the Simpson's would have never come to be. The struggels of the working man have been repeated for decades on television and thanks to shows like "The Honeymooners", "The Flintstones", "All in the Family", and "The Simpsons" the American public can find humor in their plight.
