Will People Always Be Superior to Machines?

AIs that are capable of thinking, will be able to create others like themselves without human help. In case of such a scenario, it is seen that over time, the human superiority over their own creations will drop sharply and slip to zero.
We can conclude that humans will dominate machines as long as robots remain without consciousness. Therefore, in my opinion, technological research should focus not on the creation of artificial intelligence, which can lead to the fall of humanity's supremacy, but on the goal to design and develop equipment that seeks answers and solutions to the questions and tasks that people ask.
