X. Personal opinion
As a fish keeper, I found this book very useful. I learned a lot of new facts about aquarium ecosystem. I also have low – maintenance aquarium similar to Diana’s. From my point of view I can prove, that it is possible to keep stable ecosystem without fertilizers, water conditioners, and CO2 system. Also, I agree with her, that you need to monitor and care after your aquarium. Low – maintenance doesn’t mean that you can just neglect your tank.
If you are interested in this hobby or are going to purchase an aquarium, read this book first. It will introduce you into all pluses and minuses of hobby.
However, many enthusiasts could find this book outdated, because, nowadays, there are many new technologies, equipment, fish species and plans that require more maintenance and patience.
