Jargon make easier to communicate with employees and friends.

Disadvantages
Jargon can leave someone
feeling excluded from a
conversation.
The military, advertising,
teachers, and politicians
are criticized for using
jargon.
Jargon often used to
mislead or confuse
listeners.

Plain Language
Plain language is common words everyone can understand.
People do not use words which may confuse the listener.
A Plain English Campaign has been established to limit jargon.
