Scientific Progress Does More Harm than Good to the Environment

Having said that, the main reason there is already so much harm done to the environment is because of the invention of electricity and steam-powered machines. If we wouldn’t made such scientific breakthroughs, we may still be living like we did in the middle ages. There would definitely not be as much harm done to the environment as there is nowadays and the standard of living would be much lower.
In the end, I am not optimistic that scientific progress does more good to the environment than bad. The world is becoming more industrialized.
