This study has quite limited applications, but applications none the less. For example The way guards are trained in prisons (using the study as an example of what not to do). Also it can have some useful applications to soldiers in the event of capture e.g. How to sustain such abuse by authority figures. But other than these fairly specialist uses, do not make the study entirely useful.
