The Bologna declaration is the main guiding document of the Bologna process. The purpose of the Bologna process is to create a united European higher education system, to make united standards for higher education system, and to improve the ability to compete in higher education field worldwide. The Bologna declaration was signed in June 19th 1999 by Ministers of Education from 29 European countries in the Italian city of Bologna.
From the year 1999 there were 29 European countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and United Kingdom. From the year 2001 till 2003 other countries joined: Croatia, Cyprus, Liechtenstein, Turkey Albania, Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Holy See, Russia, Serbia, and Republic of Macedonia. …
