A Person I Admire

I would like to tell you about Elīna Garanča, an opera singer who has performed on the opera stages of Mainingen, Frankfurt and Vienna. She is a person whom I admire and not only me. I dare to say she is admired by all Latvian people who love music. I won’t believe if someone says that opera is only for a few intellectuals. Elīna Garanča proves that a beautiful women, a young lady of 34 can become successful if she works hard and is very persistent. Her mother is a well – known vocal pedagogue at the Academy of music, Anita Garanča.
