The stupidity of the commoners works to Marc Antony's advantage as Antony attempts to lead the common citizens into his way of thinking by using many clever ways. The intent of Antony's plan is to convince the common people that Cassius, Brutus, and Casca were wrong to kill Caesar and they were just jealous. Just a few examples of his cunning schemes include using sarcasm and fake sympathy, appealing to the Plebeian's greed, and taking sentimental and emotional approaches. He is also able to weave reverse psychology into almost each of these ideas.
