Anarchy in International Theories

International relations theories do not exist without the term “anarchy”. Numerous scholars have posited anarchy as the most important characteristic underlying international relations. With anarchy is described international order and in general this term mean the lack of “superpower” over states in international system. Concept of anarchy is one of the basics terms in realist tradition. Realist tradition includes such forms as classical realism and neorealism. Direct these two forms I will take as starting point in my paper. This topic is interesting to me, because I find it useful to explore what exactly does it means and what are another terms which exists with “anarchy” hand in hand.
The aim of this paper is to describe the concept of “anarchy” in such international relation theories as Realism and Neorealism and to find possible differences in the meaning of anarchy in international politics.…
