Should cannabis be Legalised?

A hot topic for debate at the moment is, Should cannabis be legalised? This issue has been discussed in parliament and public places, it seems everyone has a view on it. Although I think it should be legalised, I will discuss both sides of the argument.
Cannabis is currently a class B, schedule 1 drug, which means it, has no recognised medical value. For possession, the maximum penalty is five years in prison, plus an unlimited fine - a hefty price to pay just for smoking a 'joint.'
