In the last few years, crime in Latvia has been going up. It is hard to give an accurate answer on a question why exactly that is so and what must our government can do to solve this problem. As a one way out of this disgrace appears to be intensifying crime sentences. I agree, that only way to cut crime in Latvia is to make punishment more severe.
In my opinion conditions are too soft. Criminals are not afraid to commit a crime, because the punishment for it is soft. …
